A Few Things

First, it’s great news that Mark Bittman, author of How to Cook Everything and a minor hero of mine, is now blogging over at his eponymous website.

Second, Kevin Zimmerman has asked the tough questions about Conan’s recent martyrdom. Essential reading, along with Michael Ian Black’s earlier post on the subject.

Third, in Beckett news: Nick Clegg has something in common with Marilyn Monroe.

And finally, Jason Kuznicki’s “Be Ashamed, Just in Case” was the best thing I read online yesterday.

And by “best” you mean…depressing? I wonder when Sullivan will pounce on that.

Three cheers for Mark Bittman and, actually, for Nick Clegg while we’re at it. He’s made the British election surprisingly interesting to follow, even the inevitable king-making of Cameron happens in just 36 short hours.
